A strong tension is found between the two forces: on the one hand, the three sides are all optimistic about the prospects of RCEP and the potential for trilateral cooperation in economy and trade; on the other hand, the economic and trade cooperation among China, Japan, and the ROK in the context of the complex and volatile international landscape is faced with a series of significant choices and. [...] At the recent seminar themed "Trilateral Economic Cooperation under the RCEP Framework: from Present and Future," participating experts believe that China, Japan, South Korea, and ASEAN should seize the opportunities of RCEP, strengthen communication and cooperation, boost trade and exchanges, jointly uphold the multilateral trading system based on market rules safeguard the stability of the regio. [...] At the same time, the trilateral economic and trade cooperation is facing a complex and profound situation, and the key to deepening it under the RCEP framework is to adhere to market rules. [...] To this end, it is necessary for China, Japan, and the ROK to jointly promote greater openness in the service market and further implement and increase the commitments related to trade in services in the RCEP Agreement. [...] Japan and South Korea need to grasp the trend and view China's market- 2 opening objectively, strengthen both official and unofficial dialogues, and facilitate China's accession to the CPTPP, which would bring great benefits to the region and even the global scale.
