The text that created CAPES assigns it four main objectives: Help design and analyze the broad lines of economic and social policy in the medium and long term; Organize training in policy management and analysis, program management and economic projects, as well as in the field of prospective studies; Improve the availability and quality of information and facilitate the exchange of experiences by consolidating a database; Helping to create a network of experts in economic and social policy analysis, program and project management and in the field of foresight.
