Summary The Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformations (CAST) is a hub for understanding the social science of climate action. CAST’s work focusses on four key areas with huge potential for decarbonisation (food, transport, material consumption, and heating and cooling) and asks how we can live differently – and better – in ways that rapidly reduce warming emissions. CAST is a consortium of five UK universities – Bath, Manchester, York, UEA and Cardiff – and the charity Climate Outreach. It is hosted by Cardiff University.
