The Center for Latin American Monetary Studies (CEMLA) is an organization that brings together the main central banks of Latin America and the Caribbean. It was founded in 1952 in Mexico City, where its headquarters are located. Its main objectives are to: promote a better understanding of monetary and banking matters; help with improving the training of central bank staff; conduct research and systematize the results, and provide information to members about events of international and regional interest in the areas of monetary and financial policies.
