The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong. Established in 1963 as a federation of three colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College, and United College, it is Hong Kong's second-oldest university, with the first being the University of Hong Kong. Predecesors of the university included St. John's University, Lingnan University and Yenching University, alongside 10 other Christian universities in China.
