Summary | The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) is a global network comprising 140+ national and regional member academies of science, engineering, and medicine. IAP harnesses the expertise of the world’s leading scientific minds to advance sound policies, improve public health, promote excellence in science education, and achieve other development goals. Originally founded as the InterAcademy Panel (IAP), in 2000, the IAP founded the InterAcademy Council (IAC) and the InterAcademy Medical Panel (IAMP). It became a partnership in 2016 when it re-formed the existing networks into IAP for Health (formerly IAMP), IAP for Science (formerly IAP), and IAP for Policy (formerly IAC). |
