The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs is Syracuse University's graduate school for public administration and international relations. Maxwell is ranked as the #1 program for public affairs in the country, with five specialties ranked in the top five. It hosts the oldest public administration degree in the United States. The school hosts or co-hosts ten research institutes, encouraging interdisciplinary study and conversation within such broad rubrics as global affairs, domestic policy, conflict and collaboration, environmental studies, aging, public wellness, citizenship, and national security and counterterrorism.
