Social prescribing enables doctors, nurses and other primary health care professionals to refer people to a range of local, non-clinical services to support their health and wellbeing. Social prescribing works alongside traditional healthcare to resolve issues that contribute to poor health and quality of life. It can create sustainable, supportive networks and relationships. And it connects people to non-medical support. NASP's goal is to ensure social prescribing thrives across the UK.
