Add to list
The Office for Budget Responsibility was created in 2010 to provide independent and authoritative analysis of the United Kingdom’s public finances. It carries out five core functions: Economic and fiscal forecasting; Evaluating performance against targets; Sustainability and balance sheet analysis; Evaluation of fiscal risks; and Scrutinising tax and welfare policy costing. These five roles all focus on the public finances at a UK-wide level, but in addition, the OBR forecasts the receipts taxes and spending devolved to the Scottish and Welsh governments.
