Community Visit - Report and Action Plan December 2023

Thank you also to all of the community leaders and organizations who worked together to spread the word about the event and made sure everyone in town was invited and encouraged to participate! We are very thankful for the use of the many spaces in the community to help host: the Pierson Library and Municipal Complex, Shelburne Fire Station, Shelburne Fieldhouse, and Shelburne Community School. [...] The group could implement initiatives to improve and streamline communications between the community and the Town, and to explore ways to make Town information and meetings more accessible to all residents. [...] The group could also help the Town and other community groups to provide support services and accommodations to make meetings easier to attend and engage in for all members of the community. [...] Develop Solutions to Route 7 Traffic A group could form to work with the Town and the Agency of Transportation to identify and implement strategies to the complex challenge of traffic and congestion along the Route 7 corridor. [...] The group could spearhead a plan for the future of the Village Green and Parade Ground that engages the full community and could explore state Downtown Designation to help with access to technical assistance and resources for the future.
