[...] The vocational training system in Côte dʼIvoire suffers from many ills, including the inadequacy of its infrastructure to accommodate more learners, the obsolescence of its equipment, the unsuitability of training curricula to the needs of companies, the unsuitability of the training offered in local towns to the needs of companies in said towns, the lack of capacity-building to bring trainers up. [...] National study of the labour market in Côte d'Ivoire 1 Objectives of the national study of the labour market The main objective of this study is to analyse the labour market in order to identify potential imbalances in the market and the drivers of migration. [...] Limitations of the study Although the work was successfully completed, certain limitations were noted: • The analysis focused on a general study of the labour market and did not allow for the study of the employment areas of the different cities; • The number of private companies interviewed (20) cannot be considered representative of all companies in Côte dʼIvoire.
