3.1 Ensure a Just and Healthy Future for the Workers in the FDT Sector Key issues to be taken on in the run up to Congress are: • Sustainability – under the wider EFFAT project on just transition the concrete focus for our sec- tors will be put on: • water scarcity and the impact on the workforce, • as well as on maximum temperatures in the workplaces. [...] The main objectives of this project are: • understand the transformations of the tobacco sector, • get an overview on the impact on employment and the jobs of the future, • develop the way to just transition towards a sustainable future of the workers through col- lective bargaining and social dialogue, • strengthen the capacity of our members to cope with future challenges of the sector and ensur. [...] The voice of the workers of the sector needs to be put to the forefront, the concerns and the needs need to be continuously put in the centre of any policy discussion. [...] 16 AGRICULTURE 4 Action Plan 2024: Agriculture Sector Based on the decisions of the Congress and the Executive Committee of EFFAT, as well as on the results of the General Assemblies and the Board of the sector, EFFAT's agricultural sector is pro- posing the following priorities for its actions in the coming two years (2023-2024): 4.1 Common Agricultural Policy • Implementation of social condition.
