The purpose of this guide is to help users navigate the Renewable Energy Zoning (REZoning) platform. The REZoning tool is an interactive, web-based platform designed to provide a framework for the systematic identification and valuation of areas for renewable energy development, focusing on solar, wind and offshore wind technologies. By providing government officials, regulators, utilities, and other stakeholders with a dynamic, multi-criteria ranking tool for assessing possible renewable energy zones, the REZoning platform seeks to improve the planning of low-carbon, cost-effective, socially and environmentally responsible energy systems.
