[...] According to the Auditor General, the lack of coordination between the URA and the DGSM Analysis of Uganda’s Mining, Oil, and Gas Revenue Generation and Management Laws | 3 cost the country a revenue loss of between USD 3.39million and USD 16.9million in 2016/17. [...] Delays in the enactment of a fiscal rule and approval of a petroleum revenue investment framework have equally undermined investment of some of the realised revenues for the benefit of citizens thereby exposing the country to risks associated with oil windfalls.
