[...] The four-day, in person program aims to: (a) enhance capacity and professionalism among participants responsible for the design, implementation and oversight of security sector budgets in Africa, (b) explore the frontier issues in the management of security resources across Africa, and (c) introduce and demonstrate public financial management tools and approaches to align budgeting processes with. [...] • Discuss the rationale for a Public Expenditure Review (PER) of the security sector and its implications for promoting the achievement of the desired outcomes of the PEM.
