Eliminating the abuse and neglect of older people (section 6) Recommendation 6 Relationships Australia urges the Government to commit resources to the implementation of a new plan to end abuse and neglect of older people, at a scale and with the priority that adequately reflects the prevalence of abuse and neglect within Australia. [...] For the amendments to fully achieve their aims, they must be buttressed by large scale, clear and ongoing public education campaigns to inform the community, users of the family law system, and professionals working in and adjacent to that system of the intention and nature of the reforms.
