[...] To strengthen the multilayered fabric of networking in the region and manage strategic competition with China, Japan and the United States should facilitate quadrilateral cooperation with Australia and the Republic of Korea (ROK), which is exiting a period of strategic isolation and increasingly aligned with the United States and other like-minded countries on key economic and security challenges.
