The Healthy Families Tax Credits Coalition, led by Children’s HealthWatch, is a statewide network of advocates working to improve the health and well-being of Massachusetts children and families by expanding the state Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child and Family Tax Credit (CFTC). [...] The value of the CFTC will increase to $310/dependent in tax year 2023 and to $440/dependent in tax year 2024. [...] To support this, we encourage the Administration to direct the Department of Revenue and agencies who serve low- and moderate-income families to engage in a comprehensive EITC and CFTC promotion and outreach campaign. [...] As the Administration prepares its FY2025 budget and considers opportunities to address the needs of households within the Commonwealth, we urge you to continue to support refundable family tax credits and further improvements. [...] The Healthy Families Tax Credits Coalition thanks the Healey-Driscoll Administration for its leadership on expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child and Family Tax Credit this session, and looks forward to working closely to advance robust policies that respond to the realities of families with young children and improves equity and stability across the Commonwealth.
