[...] Threats to Livelihoods and Ecosystems Methane expansion harms commercial fishermen, shrimpers, crabbers, and oyster harvesters because of tanker traffic and pollution and the related dredging throughout traditional fishing grounds.12 These same fisherfolk face the cumulative impacts of climate change, gas explosions, disasters, and oil and petrochemical expansion in the region.
