Community Visit - Report and Action Plan February 2024

We would like to thank the Albany Select Board who invited this process and the Albany Community Trust for helping to encourage the process and for providing funds for the town-wide mailing and the Community Dinner at the first meeting, thank you! We deeply appreciate the work and leadership of Planning Committee members who helped guide the process by identifying forum topics for discussion, deve. [...] Thanks also to the many other community leaders and organizations who worked together to spread the word about the event and make sure everyone in town was invited and encouraged to participate! Page 1 We are very grateful to the Albany Community School staff, particularly for the use of the school to host the meetings. [...] The group could help support work to identify and acquire a site for a new well and to access funding and other support to ensure the long-term viability of the water system. [...] The group could work with the Town and other partners to develop a plan for upgrades and improvements to infrastructure to meet the needs of new or expanding businesses, such as water and sewer, roads, broadband, power, and more. [...] A group could form to work with Library Trustees and the Town to identify a strategy to expand the library and services it provides to the community.
