Introduction The NFF is pleased to provide a submission to the independent review of the Australian Carbon Industry Code of Conduct (the code). [...] If they are simply balancing their emissions by creating offsets, the lose of productive land and the permanence of the sequestration via woody perennials exacerbates that problem. [...] Additionally, some farmers may choose to make the decision of holding the ACCUs and wait until the value of ACCUs peak. [...] If entities are willing to breach the code as the consequences of doing so are not legitimate the point of having the code itself is questioned. [...] Conclusion The NFF is thankful for the opportunity to provide a submission to guide the review of the code.
