Although this was slightly delayed from the original date, the event went off impressively smoothly considering unprecedented recent events: the untimely passing of President Geingob on 4 February and the transition to President Mbumba on the same day, the mini-Cabinet reshuffle which took place on 9 February, and the memorial service and burial of former President Geingob on 24 and 25 February. [...] The SEZ Bill is expected to be tabled in the National Assembly during FY24/25 in advance to the expiration of the Export Processing Zone regime in 2025.
