To address the slow progress of the SATAT scheme, the government issued guidelines in November 2021 allowing the co-mingling of CBG in the total domestic gas supplied to the CNG and piped natural gas (PNG) segment of the city gas distribution (CGD) sector. [...] 5) Orders will be issued for stopping the use of by-products of sugar mills like pressmud anywhere else, and a long-term contract for their use by CBG plants will be issued in which the rate of purchase of feedstock and the rate for reverse supply of bio-manure will be decided by the sugar mills and the cane development department amongst themselves.
