UNEP West Asia Office, in collaboration with the Global Assessments Unit of UNEP and the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), is hosting a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop, tentatively from 25 to 27 June 2024 (TBC) to address the pressing need for robust environmental assessment and reporting in the region, where expertise and resources are scarce. Over three days, the workshop aims to equip about 24 environmental professionals with the knowledge and tools to conduct Integrated Environmental Assessments (IEA) and produce impactful State of Environment (SoE) reports. Participants will enhance their abilities to lead effective environmental assessment initiatives and train others in IEA and SoE reporting methodologies. The workshop, tailored for trainers, educators, and policymakers involved in environmental assessment and reporting processes within the region, will take place at the AGU premises in Bahrain.
