MODERN SLAVERY RISKS AMONG PEOPLE LACKING OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION - A global evidence review

This document synthesises the findings of our initial review of existing and emerging evidence on the modern slavery risks faced by people who lack the necessary documentation to access the full spectrum of rights and entitlements, globally and in the focus countries. [...] The lack of official documentation undermines access to the labour market and the potential contribution of refugees to the local economy. [...] To enhance the effectiveness of these efforts, it is essential to strike a balance and refine programs to adequately cover both the prevention of slavery and the protection of its survivors.
