Are these the correct objectives for a national academy focused on the mathematical sciences to pursue? Are there any other objectives that the new organisation should pursue? The RSE welcomes the objectives set out in the consultation and commends how, even in its embryonic stages, the government is already engaging well with the mathematics community and relevant organisations across the UK.
