Strengthening faith-sensitive mental health and psychosocial support for children on the move - FOSTERING RESILIENCE IN CHILDREN ON THE MOVE SERIES - POLICY BRIEF

In a series of consultations, this body identified three barriers hindering access of children on the move to mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) that is responsive to their faith and culture and urged eight steps to be taken by donors, governments and implementing agencies in order to uphold the rights of displaced children to such care. [...] The effectiveness with the Best Interests of the Child principle of MHPSS supports in general is often set forth in the Convention on the Rights diminished by lack of shared understanding of the Child (CRC) and with international between responders and those they serve humanitarian principles and laws. [...] Effective capacity-sharing and identity on the other and on the wider partnerships are key to helping external population - there are many like-minded actors to improve the faith- and cultural local faith actors and formal agencies sensitivity of programming and to helping who share an unwavering commitment to local faith groups who already provide humanitarian principles and to localised, emotion.
