While focusing on a comprehensive overview of conditions in Europe, the European State of the Climate (ESOTC) also looks at conditions for the Arctic and provides an overview of the global context. It provides a detailed analysis, with descriptions of climate conditions, key events and their impacts, and explores the associated variations in key climate variables from across the Earth system. For 2023, a discussion of climate policy and action with a focus on human health is included. The ESOTC Summary provides the key findings for each section and outlines the latest updates of the C3S Climate Indicators.
