[...] Since the conclusion of these hearings, UNODC has provided further practical and logistical support to the Complex Case Group of the Federal Ministry of Justice (FMoJ) enabling the review of more than 2,910 additional cases, resulting in the release from detention of 2,100 adults and 580 children, and the referral of 230 new cases for trial. [...] UNODC has been strengthening the capacity of the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Armed Forces, and other security agencies such as the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps to detect plots and prevent terrorist acts through the collection and analysis of both tactical and strategic intelligence.
