[...] This may be considered in the case of refused asylum-seekers who declared themselves to be stateless at the beginning of the asylum procedure and in cases where the countries of origin or former residence have failed to recognise the person’s nationality. [...] Asylum-seekers may leave the country, they have the obligation to hand over their travel documents at the time of applying for asylum, but these can be requested at any time in order to leave the territory of Romania.
