The labor category of direct workers will be government civil servants (mainly those that belong to the MoALFC at the national and the County levels), the National Youth Service (NYS) and staff from other relevant government ministries, departments and agencies deployed to provide requisite technical support to the project. [...] Sexual harassment and other forms of abusive behavior by workers or managers will also have the potential to compromise the safety and wellbeing of the vulnerable groups of workers and the local communities, while adversely affecting project performance (Preventing Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, n.d.). [...] The Act also addresses the issues of the employees’ nationality and origin as is the case with migrant workers (referring to those migrating to Kenya specifically for purpose of the employment) and provides the requirements to be met by migrant workers before they are employed.
