Digitalization for Anticorruption - World Bank's recommendations on the way forward (English)

24 Jun 2024

This note analyzes the current state of digitalization in Armenia for corruption prevention and provides inputs and recommendations to inform the ongoing strategic planning process in anticorruption led by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and supported by the Commission for Prevention of Corruption (CPC). This note focuses on the digitalization efforts and needs for the CPC to perform its main functions. It also provides recommendations which could be relevant for other key anticorruption actors in Armenia and that would result in efficiency gains from potential technology and data sharing and an effective anti-corruption strategy. It highlights cross-cutting issues of digital governance that affect the anticorruption activities and are outside of the CPC's mandate, for which significant coordination and collaboration among stakeholders will be required.
