Older Americans Act Amendments of 1987. Public Law 100-175.

This document presents the 1987 amendments to the Older Americans Act of 1965 which amend that act to authorize appropriations for the fiscal years 1988 through 1991, amend the Native Americans Programs Act of 1974 to authorize appropriations for such fiscal years, and to serve other purposes. Title I concerns amendments to the Older Americans Act of 1965, and includes sections on objectives and administration; grants for supportive services, nutrition, and other activities; demonstration grants; community service employment; Native American programs; miscellaneous and technical amendments; and a consumer price index for older Americans. TItle II of the amendments concerns the 1991 White House Conference on Aging; Title III discusses Alzheimer's Disease research; and Title IV concerns the National School Lunch Act Amendment which would authorize participation of older persons and chronically impaired disabled persons in the child care food program. Title V looks at the Native American Programs; Title VI concerns health care services in the home and discusses the establishment of grant programs for demonstration projects. Title VII contains general provisions, including effective dates and application of the amendments. (NB)
