[...] Shavuot Yizkor – JWB has designated the Yizkor service during the Festival of Shavuot and prior to Memorial Day as one dedicated to the memory of our country’s fallen heroes and to the Gold Star Families who mourn their loss. [...] We will hear the stories of Jewish fallen heroes killed in action since September 11, from the perspective of their families. [...] Jewish military chaplains and leaders of the American Jewish community will offer words of prayer and support, as well as a commitment to ever honor the memories of Gold Star Families’ loved ones.
