Lapworth Medal The Lapworth Medal is the most prestigious honour bestowed by the Association to a palaeontologist who has made a highly significant contribution to the science of palaeontology by means of a substantial body of research and service to the scientific community. [...] The award consists of a certificate and free membership of the Association for the rest of the year in question, plus the following calendar year. [...] Proposals will be ranked on the following criteria: • Fit to the charitable aims of the Association • Imaginative quality, innovation, and likely spread and impact of the proposal • Feasibility, value for money and cost effectiveness • Track record of the investigator in engagement and education initiatives At the end of the award period a final report (including receipted accounts) will be submit.
