EULAR RECOGNISING YOUNG PEOPLE’S PERSPECTIVES IN 05.02.2021 INFLAMMATORY ARTHRITIS Kilchberg, Switzerland A new EULAR study shows that young people with arthritis need new ways to measure their function that take into account their age and lifestyle — Inflammatory arthritis is the name of a group of diseases that cause joint pain and swelling. [...] EULAR hopes that the results of this study will change the use of PROMs in young people in clinical practice and research. [...] There is a need to optimise the use of PROMs in their present form and adapt PROMs to meet the current needs of young people. [...] EULAR aims to reduce the burden of RMDs on individuals and society and to improve the treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of RMDs. [...] It promotes the translation of research advances into daily care and fights for the recognition of the needs of people with RMDs by the EU institutions through advocacy action.
