Then we get these insights into the hands of the right changemakers to help them advance health and equity in health in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). [...] As our race-based data work progresses quickly in engaging policymakers, partners, stakeholders and members of the Black and other equity-deserving communities in the GTA, Ontario and beyond, we hope to catalyze the shift towards a healthier, more equitable future for all. [...] And our report on the healthcare experiences of people with long COVID in the GTA highlighted the need to design – with communities – services and supports specific to long COVID so barriers to treatment are avoided and social and economic contexts are accounted for in the delivery of the care. [...] At the recommendation of our Research Advisory Committee, Wellesley will be conducting a research project in 2024-2025 to examine international and local interventions that address wealth inequality to improve health and health equity, and to clarify potential policy directions to catalyze action in the GTA. [...] For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca and the Mississaugas of the Credit.
