[...] Further to this, our initial submission notes our concerns with Part 8 of the Bill, namely the ability for the Minister to cancel courses deemed to provide limited value to Australia’s skills needs or if within the public interest to do so. [...] As outlined above and previously, the implications of hastily implementing these changes will be detrimental not only to the international education sector but also for our ability to attract and retain our future workforce, and for our economy, noting the substantial contribution the international education sector makes.
