4 Aug 2020

Committees of the AAUP, 2019–20 Appointments to standing committees of the Association are ordinarily for a term of three years; the terms of approximately one-third of the members of each committee expire each year. [...] Appointments are made by the president of the Association, who has the advice of members of the Association, the executive director, and other members of the staff. [...] The constitutional amendment proviso approved by the 105th Annual Meeting as part of the AAUP’s restructuring plan stipulated that “during the period January 1, 2020, through the close of the June 2020 biennial Association Meeting, or the close of any connected Council meeting, as specified in Article IV, Section 1, of the amended AAUP Constitution. [...] the Executive Committee of the Council shall consist of the Executive Committee members serving on December 31, 2019.” Except where noted otherwise, the lists below reflect the composition of the AAUP’s committees as of January 1, 2020.
