This phenomenal growth was been facilitated largely by improvements in ICT infrastructure of the region, the availability of a pool of creative talents, and the cost advantages of some the economies in the region to compete with the rest of the world. [...] (Phua & Pocock, 2012) The development of Singapore as an international medical hub should be seen in the light of the role of healthcare services in the development of the biomedical industry which is considered one of the pillars of the new economy that will drive and sustain the growth of the Singaporean economy in the future.
