In addition, the annex to this report HSP/EB.2024[…] presents an update to the preliminary report on the status of the development of the efforts to reconstruct the human settlements in the Gaza Strip. [...] The work of UN-Habitat Nepal with these 14 municipalities (i.e., using the Social Tenure Domain Model for the identification, verification and recording of informal tenure and the development of participatory land use processes) has since been embedded in the national legislation and has successfully been rolled out in 723 of the 753 existing Nepalese municipalities. [...] At national level, UN-Habitat works closely with the government, contributing to key policies and mechanisms for urban recovery, including the reform of the housing policy, the review of the urban planning code, the development of the national cadastre, and the use of digital solutions for a green and inclusive urban recovery in Ukraine. [...] In reference to the ongoing crisis in the State of Palestine55, the update to the Preliminary Report of the Executive Director on the status of the development of the efforts to reconstruct the human settlements in the Gaza Strip continues to act as a foundation for UN-Habitat's operations.
