This report presents the findings of the Australian Multiculturalism Survey, conducted between June 2022 and July 2023. The survey, commissioned to assess the current state of multiculturalism in Australia, collected data from 501 respondents from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. It explores themes such as social cohesion, belonging, community participation, racism, and discrimination. Key findings reveal that 70% of respondents experienced racism, yet 75% did not report it. The report also highlights that while 84% consider Australia home, only 66% feel a strong sense of belonging. The findings underscore the challenges of multicultural representation, employment barriers, and trust in government services, while also emphasizing the strong contribution of CALD communities to Australian society.
