When comparing graduate visa holders who engage in visa hopping without obtaining permanent residency to other graduate visa holders in the same occupation, the salary difference reduces to about 10%. [...] Looking at the top origin countries of migrants in Australia, we compare the differences in the probability of visa hopping from migrants from different countries.8 The results are presented in Figure 9.
