Register-Based Measurements of Poverty and Social Exclusion (English)

29 Oct 2024

Overall arching goal is to support the Ministry of Labor, Pension System, Family, and Social Policy (MLPSFSP) to develop a methodology to regularly track poverty and social exclusion at the NUTS 3 or LAU level. This is the second in a two-part series: the first report set the groundwork by identifying and assessing relevant administrative data sources, pinpointing data gaps, and proposing a range of possible approaches to fill these gaps. The second report focuses on leveraging the forthcoming Central Register of the Population to develop a register-based methodology for poverty and social exclusion measures at the NUTS 3 or LAU level. The forthcoming Central Register of the Population hereafter, the Population Register is expected to bridge the data gaps, therefore providing the essential data needed to effectively monitor poverty and social exclusion.
