VOLUNTARY NATIONAL REVIEW ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE UN 2030 AGENDA FOR

The main functions of the NCSD are to analyse and assess biennial reviews on the implementation of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development and make proposals to the Government of the Republic of Lithuania concerning the updating of the NSSD and sustainable development priorities with account of the environmental, social, economic and cultural indicators of the state. [...] According to the information of the Environmental Project Management Agency under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, based on the programmes for the financial periods 2004–2006 and 2007–2013, by April 2015 the number of users of the wastewater collection networks had increase by 171 000 residents and that of users of the drinking water supply networks by 123 000 residents (t. [...] The measures of the Programme promote the export of tourism services to foreign states in accordance with the principles of sustainable tourism and contribute to the increase of employment and the reduction of the unemployment rate among the population.
