Eurojust is strongly committed to pursuing its mission, convinced that the proper and timely implementation of judicial cooperation procedures and the coordination of cross-border investigations are indispensable tools in applying the principle of the rule of law and in protecting the victims of crime. [...] (1) Regulation (EU) 2023/1543 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 July 2023 on European Production Orders and European Preservation Orders for electronic evidence in criminal proceedings and for the execution of custodial sentences following criminal proceedings and Directive (EU) 2023/1544 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 July 2023 laying down harmonised rules o. [...] We will also increase our operational cooperation with FRONTEX and implement a multiannual cooperation plan with the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA) as part of the efforts to digitalise criminal justice cooperation in the EU. [...] d) Revision of the Eurojust Regulation Eurojust will actively provide input to the Commission’s evaluation of the implementation and impact of the Eurojust Regulation, with a focus on the agency’s effectiveness and efficiency and its working practices, and any subsequent negotiations between the EU institutions on a revision of the Eurojust Regulation.
