This study estimates household carbon footprints for all Swedish municipalities down to the postcode level using a downscaling approach, disaggregating the national carbon footprint. Key contributing consumption categories are identified by analyzing variations in carbon footprints at municipal and postcode levels. The study then discusses how these data can and have been used to support policymaking .
