The report focuses on five dimensions: think tank landscape, political context, funding models, research priorities and impact, and emerging trends like artificial intelligence (AI) and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The analysis highlights differences in think tank operations by geographic region, income levels, and political regimes. This year’s edition introduces a novel categorization of regions, including an “Anglosphere” grouping, and emphasizes the sector’s resilience amidst political and economic volatility.
