The exercise to produce the Citizen Report Card (CRC) which was planned to start in April 2020, was only able to start in June 2020 because of the country lockdown during that period, and the survey period was prolonged due to movement restrictions imposed to contain the Covid-19 pandemic. [...] Therefore, the results to inform the satisfaction levels of farmers for the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the 2019/2020 “Imihigo” became available in November 2020, when the second round of CRC report was finalized. [...] The results of the Citizen Report Card (CRC) II of November 2020, indicate that at the end of the year 2019/2020, farmers' satisfaction with their participation in Imihigo planning is at 62.08 % indicating an improvement from 53% in 2018/2019, while the satisfaction regarding their participation in the evaluation of agriculture related Imihigo planned at district/sector level is at 62.2%; an impro [...] This is a positive development in ensuring that CSOs begin to be engaged in the evaluation of the agricultural related Imihigo planning and implementation process beyond the life of the project. [...] The project has prepared the political economy analysis and carried out a second round CRC which both helped to document the progress in citizen engagement in agricultural planning, implementation and evaluation process.
