Artificial Intelligence in the Visegrad 4: Emerging Strategies, Uncoordinated Approaches

The network analyses key issues for the Visegrád Group, and provides recommendations to the governments of V4 countries, the annual presidencies of the group, and the International Visegrád Fund. [...] This research paper outlines some of the policy options available to the Visegrad states (V4) relating to the use of AI in the public sphere. [...] This research was conducted between October and November of 2021 and reflects the AI landscape of the V4 at the time of writing. [...] The Czech Republic was the first of the V4 states to introduce an AI strategy in May 2019, and Poland was the last in December 2020. [...] In order to further facilitate the development of AI in the public sphere, all of the V4 states have supported and invested in the development of civil society organisations promoting the use of AI across society.
